Our big bunny is exceptional, see for yourself. This crazy soft hand made bunny rabbit is a one-of-a-kind collectible stuffed animal. This little love is made using ethically procured baby alpaca fur. The huacaya breed is characterized by its thick curls and crimp. Known for exceptional quality and proven hand crafting techniques, Lanart has been making alpaca teddy bears and collectibles since 1979. This bunny is hand-sewn and finished with a friendly face and a snuggly plush finish.

What Is Alpaca Fiber?
Alpaca was once considered a gift from the gods and the most important relic of Incan history. Alpacas are in the camelid family, sharing the most genetic material with the vicuña. They are one of the four South American camelids.
The two breeds of alpacas are: the Huacaya and the Suri. The types of fiber harvested from each of these breeds are equally prized for different reasons. Fiber derived from alpacas varies in weight depending on how it is spun, making it ideal for a number of different kinds of products. Compared to sheep’s wool, alpaca fiber is considerably softer and more durable.

Alpacas perish due to harsh natural conditions usually from December to March. We treat the pelts with our special tanning process that yields the best hides for the best collection of alpaca. Each bear is filled with a hypoallergenic fiber and stitched by hand to give an expressive face. We embroider the nose and mouth by hand for a special expression every time. Our safety eyes meet USA & European Toy Safety Standards. Our bears are not suitable for children under 3 years of age.
